The Book Reading Group meets once a month at a local pub. Books are chosen mainly by me but suggestions from the group are welcome. I try to choose different genres ….science fiction, thrillers , classics, book prize winners, some non fiction. We discuss the book in depth looking at plot, language, themes and characters. This often leads to related discussions towards the end of the group. I draw up the booklist for the next 12 months so everyone has plenty of time to obtain the books. It’s a rewarding and fun group to run and we often have different opinions on the months book which is very positive!
