How to join

New members can join at any time during the year by paying the full fee.

Our year runs from 1st April to 31st March.

New members joining after 1st February will enjoy membership until 31st March the following year.

The annual membership fee is currently £16 per person.

Members may attend our Monthly Talks, join any of our 40 special interest groups, take part in our outings to places of interest and attend our social events.

We have an admission charge for each Monthly Talk of £3 for members and £5 for visitors interested in joining (free refreshments). Groups are self-funded so there may be a small charge for refreshments, materials or to cover the cost of venue hire. A charge may be made for events to cover room hire and refreshments, or, in the case of visits, for transport and admission.

Associate Membership is available at a reduced rate, £12, for anyone who is a full and current member of another u3a. The full £16 per person includes the £4 fee passed to the Third Aid Trust (the national organisation of which u3as are members for insurance and membership purposes) and this only needs to be paid once per member.

Membership Renewal is due on 1st April each year. Reminders are sent out in March each year and existing members can renew at any time after receipt of their renewal form, and need not wait until after 31st March to do so. Renewal forms are sent out each March by post/hand delivery although a Renewal Form can be found by clicking on this link.
