Midhurst

u3a

Midhurst u3a was founded in 1994 and has grown into a thriving organisation with a membership of about 380. 2024 is our 30th anniversary! Midhurst u3a is one of over 1,000 u3as right across the UK, each affiliated to the Third Age Trust. Our u3a exists for the benefit of those, no longer in full time employment, who wish to learn, socialise and keep active. Members share their knowledge, skills and experience, and participate in a wide range of educational, creative and leisure activities.

The Third Age Trust, increasingly referred to as u3a UK, provides services to individual u3as, including insurance cover, infrastructure such as this web site, governance advice and training. Part of your membership fee for Midhurst u3a goes to the Third Age Trust to pay for these services. It also provides some services directly to individual u3a members such as online talks, conferences, newsletters and a "Friends" scheme offering discounts. To enjoy these you need to create an account on their web site, http://www.u3a.org.uk,. This is very simple - you just need your name, your email address, and the name of the u3a of which you are a member.

The Third Age Trust Educational Events page is frequently updated with new items. However they book up very quickly and we would advise anyone who is interested in virtually attending a Trust talk via Zoom to click on the link and save it as a favourite in their browsers or on their Desktop. Visiting this website frequently should allow Midhurst members to book talks shortly after they are posted online. There is also an option to sign up to an email alerting service.
